      IMAX OCEAN OASIS

An interesting thought...over half of Baja is underwater! On both the Pacific Ocean side of Baja and on the Sea of Cortes side of Baja some of the Peninsula's best kept treasures are kept from our view. It didn't seem fair...until now.

Wouldn't it be cool if you could swim underwater in Baja's Sea of Cortez and explore all of the underwater action? And do it in a dry warm environment while eating popcorn? Welcome to Imax's Ocean Oasis.

Many people have experienced the spectacular cinematography of IMAX. These amazing big screen films have allowed non-adventurous people to explore the Grand Canyon, some of the world's tallest mountains, and much more in their various films.

The good folks at IMAX know a good thing when they see it, so it was a no-brainer to produce an IMAX film about underwater Baja. The Sea of Cortez is truly one of nature's most amazing places. And now it's on the big screen for you to see.

Filmed in the southern Sea of Cortez south of Loreto and north of Los Cabos, Ocean Oasis shares some of the most remarkable underwater photography ever seen by the public. Clear waters, diverse sealife, birds and an underwater geography that ads the perfect backdrop for all of it.

If you have the opportunity to see Ocean Oasis on the big screen don't miss it. Even on DVD it is an amazing production. Heck, Carlos Fiesta got all fired up just surfing the Ocean Oasis web site. And you can too!
